Your local volunteer-run Hydro Power scheme has been producing renewable energy on the River Goyt since 2012. Feeding power directly into the National Grid, it creates an income to maintain the scheme, pay a return to investors and contribute to our Environmental Challenge fund* Our volunteers will reveal the quirks and complexities involved in such a fascinating venture.
